Dr. Alexander Jonathan Kellmann is working as Research Data Manager in the Medical Informatics Laboratory for the TRR 420 CONCENTRATE project. His background combines chemistry, informatics in the natural sciences, and semantic web technologies, including the development of Graph2VR, a virtual reality application for visualizing and exploring Linked Data in 3D.
Dr. Alexander Jonathan Kellmann studied Chemistry (bachelor) at the University of Göttingen and Informatics for the Natural Sciences (master) at Bielefeld University.
He received his PhD from the University Medical Center Groningen with a thesis on “Accelerating Health Research Using Linked Data and Virtual Reality”. During his doctoral work, he contributed to the Horizon 2020 projects EUCAN-Connect and CINECA, and led the development of Graph2VR, a virtual reality application for exploring and visualising Linked Data.
After working as a Scientific Staff Member at the Data Integration Center, he is now Research Data Manager in TRR 420 CONCENTRATE. His work focuses on FAIR research data management, semantic technologies, data integration, ontologies, and tools for making complex research data more findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable.
