We investigate how population health can be measured, understood, and sustainably improved. From the development of study designs and interventions to data collection, analysis, and evaluation, we provide the foundation for evidence-based decision making in Community Medicine.
Our Approach
Evidence starts with methods.
Without appropriate methods, empirical findings remain suspended between assumption and knowledge. We build the methodological foundation that enables research to generate robust evidence, to have an impact on the population level and to contribute to better health in the long-term.
Our goal
From evidence to impact.
The success of an intervention is not determined by its efficacy alone, but also by whether it reaches people, is adopted, and is implemented in practice. We develop and evaluate interventions with the aim of improving population health and reducing health inequalities.
Our Methods
The People Behind the Methods
We are an interdisciplinary team united by a common goal: developing and applying methods that improve population health.
